The Good Business Charter Council

The Council is a group of highly experienced and respected and members of the Jersey business community.

The Council’s responsibilities include;

  • Decide on applications for Charter Mark status.
  • Suggest amendments. 
  • Propose future Board members.
  • Serve without remuneration.

Carla Benest​

Carla Benest

Carla is a Partner and Head of Mourant Jersey Employment practice. She specialises in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law. She also advises businesses relocating or starting up in Jersey and is part of a team of specialists advising businesses on data protection matters. A regular speaker on employment matters, she also contributes articles to publications and provides training to clients on employment law.

Amy Bryant​

Amy Bryant

Amy is Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Jersey Finance. She Joined Jersey Finance in December 2011, fulfilling various roles before being appointed to DCEO in September 2017. Previous to Jersey Finance Amy was a Tax Manager with PwC in the Channel Islands where she specialised in the taxation of offshore funds and Jersey corporate vehicles and provided international structuring advice to a global client base.

Cherith Fothergill

Cherith is Global Head of marketing at Hawksford, prior to this Cherith worked in brand-building marketing positions within banking, finance and higher education. Cherith was shortlisted as Marketing/BD Director of the year in Citywealth Brand Management and Reputation Awards 2018

Tom Hacquoil

Tom is Co-Founder and Chief Executive of Infuse Group, a software business, whose award winning product Pinpoint is revolutionising recruitment.. Tom has over 10 years’ experience in the tech industry with past roles including founder of Digital Jersey’s coding programme and Chief Digital Officer with Calligo he is passionate about building world class teams. Infuse is the winner of Start-Up of the year in the inaugural Jersey Tech Awards.
Gailina Liew​

Gailina Liew

Gailina is a non-executive director, entrepreneur and retired company executive with more than 20 years’ experience in corporate governance, commercialising personalised medicine and bioinformatic technologies, establishing strategic alliances in North America and Asia, and managing public-private partnerships. Gailina is Director of Jersey Policy Forum, sits on the Jersey Appointments Commission, the Board of Digital Jersey and J P Morgan Global.

Eliot Lincoln​

Eliot Lincoln

Eliot is Managing Director and Founder of change management consultancy, BDO Greenlight. He was the winner of the 2012 Jersey Institute of Directors Director of the Year for a Medium Sized Business and the 2012 UK National Young Director of the Year. Eliot is President of Jersey’s Chamber of Commerce, Past Chair of the Chamber Digital Committee, Past Deputy Chair of Jersey Business and an active member of Jersey’s Institute of Directors.

Alexia McClure​

Alexia McClure

Alexia is a the Head of Operations at Jersey Business. She has extensive private sector experience having worked in the professional services industry in the UK and South Africa, including having established and run her own successful event management business. Alexia also has over 15 years’ experience of developing, managing and delivering business support programmes through business advisory positions in UK Trade and Investment and Scottish Enterprise. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a law degree.

Jeralie Pallot​

Jeralie Pallot

Jeralie has a background in the travel industry and marketing, but soon caught the recruitment bug and has been loving it ever since, working in recruitment in New Zealand, Australia and the UK before making the move to Jersey in 1990 working at Rowlands for a number of years, before eventually buying the business in October 2012. She is a Fellow of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

Richard Summerfield​

Richard Summerfield

Richard has spent 20 years as an HR professional in a career spanning multiple sectors and jurisdictions. He joined Ocorian as Global HR Director in January 2017 having spent 6 years as the Group HR Director for Jersey Telecom, and previously working at Ogier, Standard Bank, Zurich UK and Barclays Bank. Richard is also the author of Loving Leadership, published in 2016, it outlines 8 Key leadership behaviours. 

Julia Warrander

Julia Warrander

Julia has responsibility for the structuring and on-going management of Affinity clients’ discretionary investment portfolios. A former Executive Director with Goldman Sachs and best known for her expertise in bond markets, Julia has lived and worked in Europe, North America and Asia through a successful career – bringing a wealth of investment experience and broad cultural view to Affinity. Julia is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).
